SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)

Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, SDGs are goals set by the 193 member countries of the UN to be achieved over a 15-year period from 2016 to 2030. They consist of 17 major goals and 169 specific targets to achieve them.
Today, the international community has set the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a common goal, with 17 targets for a society in which no one is left behind. However, the future set forth by the SDGs ends in 2030. As the next goal, a movement to create a new international goal that emphasizes people’s subjective well-being has begun in Japan. These are the Sustainable Well-being Goals (SWGs), which are beginning to be advocated by various international organizations and companies. They aim to achieve a state of sustainable well-being for everyone.

Achieving well-being is also related to the promotion of the SDGs and contributes to the realization of a sustainable society.

Well-being is associated with the following Common Goals within SDGs:

Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being for All

The goal is for everyone to achieve a healthy and happy life. However, welfare and basic insurance services to support mental health measures without the worry of money can also be included in this goal.

Goal 8: Both job satisfaction and economic growth

The goal is to achieve a society where everyone can live productive and humane lives through stable economic growth.
